Niche Affiliate Marketing Keyword Research

The first step in doing niche affiliate marketing is finding the right keyword, by the right keyword I mean one that will bring in income by the work we will be doing in niche affiliate marketing.

Keywords or keyword phrases refer to the words people use in search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Msn. So, for example if I was looking to make chocolate chip cookies, I would properly go to Google and type in chocolate chip cookie recipes. Google will then bring up a number of websites that have chocolate chip cookie recipes on them. Our goal here, with affiliate marketing, is to be one of those sites that come up naturally in the search engine. We don’t just want to come up in the search engines, we want to be on the first page. You will find that most people do not go past the first or second page of Google. We will learn more of how to do this in a later course.

For today’s lesson we will learn more about keywords and keyword tools. One of the tools I use for niche affiliate marketing keyword research is wordtracker g-trend. This is a free tool. The wordtracker free tool is one of the tools that you will use to find out if your keyword is one you want to target.

On this website you will want to type in as many keywords that are related to the niche you have chosen. If  your keyword is “Used cars” then related keyword phrases may be “Ford used cars”or “used cars for sale”. As you can see these are all related to our main keyword “used cars”. The nice thing about this tool is that it will also give you a list of related keywords. Our goal in niche affiliate marketing keyword research is to search for keywords related to our niches and have a running list of them.
